Local voice-based search provider, Call Genie says that it plans to acquire
the assets of VoodooVox, a USA-based data analytics and mobile advertising
network.

Under terms of the deal, Call Genie will issue 11.25 million shares as well
as paying C$1.8 million in cash. The company will also adopt the Voodoovox
brandname, saying that “Call Genie” does not adequately reflect how
the business of the Company has evolved since 2000.

Call Genie expects to deploy the VoodooVox Analytics product in its existing
Pay Per Call advertising services.

“The more pay per call advertisers know about their callers, the more
success they’ll have with their campaigns,” said Michael Durance, President
and CEO of Call Genie. “Our goal is to create a smarter mobile ad network,
and VoodooVox gives us audience insights that benefit key stakeholders in the
mobile advertising ecosystem.”

As a result of the transaction, new shareholders in Call Genie will include
SoftBank Capital, an investor in VoodooVox.
